The person that I admire in the discipline of Social Work is Mary Richmond, I consider her a reference, since, even in the society of her time, she was one of the most influential women for Social Work
She was born on August 5, 1861 in Belleville, United States, was one of the pioneers in American social work. He had the idea of turning this work into a formal work; created techniques, systems, contents and theories of social work inclined toward the formation of a discipline. She is considered one of the most important public figures in having fought for social work. One of its most important attributes was its ability to organize communities, as well as the ability to teach and speak intelligently about various social issues.
Some of his works are: in his first book dedicated to the techniques and methods of social work, entitled The social diagnosis; What is social case work ?, which explains the correct way to behave a professional dedicated to the area of social work.
